Author, poet, and artist, Debra Davis Hinkle grew up in Manhattan Beach, California, and currently lives in San Luis Obispo with her husband. She loves animals and has three cats. She was the god-mother of the late BinxPittman.
She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from California State University, Long Beach, in Business with emphasis in Information Systems. She has taught computer classes, built websites, and was the past Webmaster for SLO NightWriters.
Debra has been writing for twenty-two years. She specializes in creative non-fiction and has numerous awards, including the Lillian Dean First Page Contest several times and The SLO NightWriters Short Story contest several times.
Her short stories have been published in The NightWriter Review and Tales From the Corner, an anthology, published by Central Coast Press. Debra’s poems have been published in the Tribune and Women’s Press.
Debra is a founding member and leader of the Friday Night Writers’ Group—a writing critique group started in 2008.
